IN this question i am going to talk about and analyse how we have presented certain social groups in our opening. Th most dominant social group is youths as our actors are between the ages of 16-17. I presented social groups through clothing , the setting (a school) and domestic life such as makeup and the stye of the bedroom.
A good attempt to answer the question Niamh, with good insight into the social groups represented in Neighbours. It would have been good to see more illustrative stills to show the denotation you are talking about in your answer. There are some gaps too - region, nationality, sexuality, could have been covered in more depth. Also, remember to write the question clearly at the start of the post and a quick introduction to your video.
ReplyDeleteReally good answer Niamh, with lots of insight into social groupings and terminology. There could be more on denotation (the signifiers you've used to represent the groups in the film. If you get time, you could come back to this and tag about things such as costume and miss-en-scene.
