Niamh, I’m very impressed by many aspects of your blogging and you’ve put a lot of work into some aspects, notably your analysis of film openings and work on the prelim and swede. However, there are some things I would have expected to see included at this point, mainly related to your current production. There should be a properly written screenplay, together with a shot list/call sheet to show that you have planned filming thoroughly. Make sure you add all of the planning documents, even the ones you haven’t been directly responsible for (I’m thinking storyboards) and make sure that from here, you keep a regular production log including rough cuts, and notes on your experiences whilst filming. Make sure that you also keep things like audience expectations in mind whilst writing about your own production. Your idea is really good and I’m looking forward to seeing the final production.
